Pass the tanning butter......

We were at a party, his ear lobe fell in the deep
Someone reached in and grabbed it
It was a Rock Lobster
We were at the beach
Everybody had matching towels
Somebody went under a dock
And there they saw a rock
It wasn't a rock - It was a Rock Lobster!!!
Motion in the ocean - His air hose broke
Lots of trouble - Lots of bubble
He was in a jam - He's in a giant clam!!!
Down, down...Underneath the waves
Mermaids wavin' - Wavin' to mermen - Wavin' sea fans
Sea horses sailin'
Dolphins wailin'
Red snappers snappin'
Clam shells clappin'
Mussels flexin'
Flippers flippin'
Down, down...Let's rock!Boys in bikinis Girls in surfboards
Everybody's rockin'
Everybody's fruggin'
Twistin' round the fire - Havin' fun
Bakin' potatoes - Bakin' in the sun
Put on your noseguard - Put on the lifeguard - Pass the tanning butter
Here comes a stringray
There goes a manta ray
In walked a jelly fish
There goes a dogfish - Chased by a catfish
In flew a sea robin
Watch out for that pirahna!!!
There goes a narwhal - Here comes a bikini whale!

"You're not dusting flowers...break his knuckles!!!"

High school lacrosse season has ended and I just wanted to tip my hat to the Hub who put in an astounding amount of time, effort, energy and heart into coaching the Jesuit Tigers for four years. The dedication of all the coaches in the Tampa Bay area programs has continued to surprise me and makes me proud to know them.

Easter Redux

Contrary to Chris's post...volleybat was not the only thing going on Easter Sunday at chez Arnold.
For starters - there were three cute chicks present....

Megs, Teensy & Kelly
So...here's Easter from our perspective....

There was mad cooking going on....mmmmmm....leg o' lamb.

Plenty of cleaning up in the kitchen, afterwards, dishes and whatnot.

Luke keeping Kelly company during cleanup.

Tina bullies boys into eating the last asparagus spears.

Thanks for all the help, Milady.

Reid was so astounded by the level of skillz in the kitchen that he can't even drink properly.

During volleybat we gals entertained ourselves with self portraits.

But the most fun came from getting the guys to do silly poses after each at bat.

I think the Silly Pose rule was written into the volleybat rule-book.

A delightful pair from Team Meathead, enjoying post-game refreshment.

Tony's smiling cause he's full of ham. (Tony eat your ham!!!)

Teensy Tina and not so teensy Pete.

More unsuccessful self portraits, this time from your hosts.

Play Misty for me.

Did you know you can put just about anything up for sale on Craigslist? You can sell your miscellaneous flotsam and jetsam online if you can take a digital picture and load it onto your computer (skills I have only just mastered....yeah...I know....welcome to the digital revolution, Kel. Speaking of which - can anyone tell me....will this revolution be televised? Cause I missed the last one.)

Anywho....haven't actually successfully sold anything yet, but am enthralled by the possibilites. Am thinking about listing Chris, my clothes, the jeep, maybe Marley the Cat?

Anybody need a house?

Hullo - I am Chris and Kelly's House. I am almost empty and available immediately. I don't want to sound too desperate but if anyone could see fit to purchase me, as soon as possible, it'd really be a big help to all three of us. I sure don't want to be lonely once they leave and I really am quite lovely. http://www.baywestrealestate.com/bin/web/real_estate?acnt=AR27391&action=ACTIVATE_FRAMES&tm=&linkout=http%3A%2F%2Fidxpro.cisdata.net%2FIS%2FAR27391%2F10704%2Bneedlepoint

Shhhhhh!! Let's see if he notices the difference....

I've secretly replaced Chris's NCAA lacrosse playoff tickets (see his previous post) with tickets for a John Waters film festival in Baltimore on the very same weekend!!

What a treat for both of us!!!

We'll be able to screen such classics as Female Trouble and Pink Flamingos ("One of the most vile, stupid and repulsive films ever made!!") as well as some of Waters' more recent work.
There's even a Divine Look-Alike Contest that I've secretly entered Chris in (shhh!!) as well as round-table discussions with topics including The Role of the Drag Queen in Popular Culture and The Use Shock Fetishism and Fecal Imagery in Film.
There'll also be an Edith Massey Tribute. Good Times!!

And as if that weren't exciting enough....I've also replaced our Celtic Cup tickets. Instead of three days of watching Irish, English, Scottish and Welsh lacrosse teams battle it out, I've booked us on a week long literary tour of Dublin!! Thrilling!!!!
We'll visit the birth and death places, the haunts and hideouts of literary legends.

Joyce!

Wilde!!

Yeats!!

Swift! Beckett!! Shaw!! The list goes on......

There will be live performances of plays, more poety readings than we can shake a shillelagh at and re-enactments of some of Irish literature's most famous scenes. One whole day is even dedicated to following in Leopold Bloom's footsteps on June 16, 1904. I'm so excited to spring this surprise on Chris I can barely contain myself!!!!

Lacrosse Extravaganza!

On our way to Ireland, Kelly and I will be driving from Tampa to New York, visiting friends along the way. The last stop before we get to NY will be Baltimore for the 2007 NCAA Lacrosse Championships over Memorial Day Weekend. 3 days of lacrosse, lacrosse, beer, lacrosse, food & lacrosse.

After we get to Ireland on June 6th, we get a few weeksto explore before...you guessed it, more lacrosse ! The Celtic Cup tournament gets under way in July. Teams from all around the UK including Scotland, England and Wales will play over 3 days in Dublin !

Out on the town !

Saturday evening around 6pm, Kelly & I met up with friends at MacDintons Irish Pub in the SoHo (South Howard ) area of South Tampa. We had dinner and some drinks...and then more drinks...and then a second dinner...and yet more drinks. We saw lots of people we knew...like :
My Friend Guinness

My Friend Jameson
Kelly's Friend Margarita and her other friend Jameson
Luckily, we were able to leave the Jeep parked at MacDintons and walk right around the corner to the lovely Madison in Soho, where our friend Phil lives. We crashed there and went home in the morning.
