Market Day

Last Saturday found our three intrepid Dubliners at the Farmer's Market at Meeting house Square in the Temple Bar area. Aside from a delectable selection of prepared foods which we gorged on for breakfast (goat's cheese fritatta, the world's biggest veggie quiche, organic sausages and an Asian noodle stir-fry)....

...the market boasts locally grown, organic vegetables...
(get a load of those heirloom tomatoes!!!)

...a mouth watering assortment of Irish and European cheeses...
...these three toothy chums....

...fresh made breads so beautiful and creative you'll think you died and went to baker's heaven..

...sweets, treats, pies and pastries....
...and the cutest collection of lollies this side of the Atlantic.
Here's the lunch we cobbled together and carted around with us until we got hungry after the rest of our day at Phoenix park and the Dublin Zoo. Note the apple, a variety loftily but righteously called Discovery; on this day we discovered just how delicious an apple could be. We also complimented our lunch with a bottle of fresh pressed apple cider.

More on the park, the zoo and other Alli Arnold Adventures coming soon.
-k.
